Registering A New Moisture Probe

This guide will walk you through registering a new ClimateTag Device in the Mantis STEMAg web app.

Navigate to the device screen:

1. Click on the menu button on the top right corner of the screen

2. Select "Devices" from the menu. The Devices screen should be displayed.

Obtain the MAC ID for the Moisture Probe:

Using Dashboard

• Open the MantisEDU Dasboard and click on the View Logs menu item.

• Review the log file to locate the Router Table. Identify and copy the MAC address associated with your sensor labeled as Tag Type SmartMoistureProbe.

Using Mobile App

1. Using an Iphone or Android device, open the MantisEDU App previously downloaded in the Quickstart.

2. Turn on the Moisture Probe.

3. Press the button on the Moisture Probe(while on) to enter Rapid Data mode.

The MAC ID should display within the MantisEDU app upon detecting the Moisture Probe.

Enter device credentials:

1. Enter the MAC ID displayed in the MantisEDU app for the Moisture Probe in the device address field on the Devices screen.

The MAC ID entered is not case sensitive and the colons are not needed.

1. Enter a unique name for the device in the Device Name field.

2. Click in the Device Type field and select Moisture Probe from the drop down list.

Verify device added:

1. Click the "Add New Device" button.

A message should be displayed showing "a sensor with xxxxxx inserted and is enabled".
