ClimateTag: Battery Installation Setup

This page describes how to remove the battery guard and install the battery in the ClimateTag.

Prerequisite:

None.

Remove the rear cover from the ClimateTag:

  1. Locate the case screw on the back of the ClimateTag.

  2. Using the supplied screwdriver, unscrew and remove the case screw.

  3. Remove the rear cover of the ClimateTag.

Remove the battery and plastic guard:

  1. Remove the battery from the battery compartment.

  2. Remove and discard the plastic guard from the battery compartment.

Reinstall the battery and replace the rear cover:

  1. Reinstall the battery into the battery compartment ensuring that the positive (+) side is facing up.

Upon inserting the battery the LED on the ClimateTag should momentarily flash green indicating a successful boot. If the LED flashes red indicating a boot failure, try replacing the battery.

  1. Replace the rear cover, then reinsert and tighten the case screw using the supplied screwdriver.
